Talking about the budget of your wedding with your partnerr won’t be the most romantic conversation you’re going to have.
So How do we set a wedding budget?
Keep your expenses on track so you won't have to start your married life on debt.
You will need:
-an expense list
-research
-guest list
Step 1
Calculate the amount you and your future spouse have to spend on the wedding. Include contributions from friends and family.
Step 2
List all of the items and vendors you will neeed and dedicate a percentage of your budget to each.
Step 3
Research the vendors for every item. Prices for food, flowers, music and photographers can vary greatly. Adjust all percentage to reflect your priority. If flower arrangements and bouquet are particularly important to you, you can add money there and cut back other areas like on music.
Step 4
Determine exactly how many people you want to invite. A good portion of the expenses, such as catering, invitations and postage and centerpieces depends on the size of the guest list.
Step 5
Consider costs for attires such as the wedding dress, head piece and veil, shoes and accessories, jewelry, hair and make up, and the grooms tuxedo or suit.
Plan to spend about 10 percent of your budget on attire.
Step 6
Determine how much to spend on the reception. Nearly half of the wedding budget is typically spent on the hall, catering, wedding cake and favors.
